Powell River, BC is located on the upper Sunshine Coast. There are flights available on Pacific Coastal from the South Terminal of YVR to Powell River. We can pick you up from the airport. Men from Alberta can take a direct flight from Edmonton or Calgary to the Comox Airport and take a ferry from there to Powell River. We can pick you up from the Powell River ferry terminal.
This is a site in a forest near Powell Lake and beautiful mountains. All accommodations will be in heated indoor cabins. Meals will be provided on Saturday all day and Sunday until lunchtime. Expect to spend a good deal of time outside. We will have shelter in case of heavy rain.
If you wish to bring Recreational Vehicles please let us know before you come.
We are looking for people to arrive around 6 pm on Friday October 19 and will be departing around 1 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2018. If a man cannot make it on Friday night, he will still be welcome until 9 am on Saturday. Information regarding arriving on site will be distributed at a later date. Parking will be limited: carpool if possible.
The last arrivals will be accepted at 9 am on Saturday October 20. That means that men coming from the lower mainland area must travel on Friday. Men coming from Vancouver Island can catch the first ferry only.
Elections in Powell River area will be taking place Saturday, October 20. Men attending this event will need to go to the advance voting on Wednesday, October 10 or Wednesday, October 17. More information can be found here.

TravelIn order to meet ferries to and from Powell River, BC, plan for the following:
Arrival Ferry from Earls Cove Friday night: 5:05 or 8 pm (1 hour travel beyond the ferry terminal). This ferry is two hours from Langdale, so catch the 2:10 pm or 4:20 pm. Do not expect to make it taking the 5:30 pm. Ferry from Comox Friday night: last ferry 7:10 pm (1/2 hour travel beyond the ferry terminal) If you want to come in the morning, arrange to be at the site by 9:00 am. That means catching the 6:30 am from Earls Cove That means catching the 6:15 am from Comox |
